What color is your number?

I attended (and spent too much money at) a Stampin' Up party yesterday. One of the topics of conversation revolved around colors and numbers.

One member asked what color the number 6 was. This confused me, and I started treating it like a riddle. My answer was 'black' since it is positive as opposed to 'red' as a negative number. She explained that she'd read that numbers people react differently to numbers.

Once I 'got' what she was talking about, it made perfect sense to me.

1 is white
2 is yellow
3 is orange
4 is blue
5 is pink
6 is green
7 is royal blue
8 is purple
9 is teal

So, what color are your numbers?

OK, as someone who studied color theory in college (and also had a psychology minor)... you totally lost me. :)

LOL!

The theory is that if you are a 'numbers' person, you associate more characteristics with numbers. A number isn't just a number. For me, I associate the color white with the number 1. Nothing scientific at all, just a gut reaction.

Interesting theory! I have no strong reaction to numbers, really, that I can tell.

Hmm, I would have to really think about this because I hate numbers! So I wouldn't think to put one of my favorite things with one of my so not favorite things..... But interesting.....
